In 2012 Helsinki commemorates the bicentennial of the city’s status as the Finnish capital. Throughout the year, Helsinki residents and visitors can enjoy special events and programmes that take a look at the history – as well as glimpse at future Helsinki.
The Social Services and Health Care will be reorganized
The City Council has decided to merge the Social Services Department and the Health Centre. A separate department will be set up for Finnish children’s daycare. The reorganization will be done at the beginning of 2013.
