The Chinese New Year festivities, hosted by the cities of Helsinki and Beijing, will be celebrated in Helsinki for the sixth time.

The event features a number of performances, including colourful lion and dragon dances and plenty of activities for children. You can also watch the New Year’s Celebrations from Beijing in a live broadcast. The Chinese market and the immensely popular food market bring along colour, flavour and life to the hibernating Lasipalatsi Square. The festival is crowned by a massive fi reworks show above Töölönlahti Bay.
