The Chinese New Year will be celebrated in Helsinki in a big way, as the cities of Helsinki and Beijing host the Lasipalatsi square event for the third time.

The Year of the Ox starts with acrobatic stunts by lion and dragon dancers. In addition, the Beijing New Year celebrations are shown live. Top performers from China and Finland entertain the audience. A Chinese market brings colour, taste, and life to the wintery city. The event climaxes in Great Chinese fireworks over the Finlandia park on Töölönlahti.
