Helsinki Summer University offers a wide variety of courses, for example open university studies, open university of applied sciences studies, language courses, finnish for foreigners and further education courses in various fields. Helsinki Summer University courses are open to everyone regardless of age, previous education, or study rights at any institution of learning.
The ’In English’ section shows only those Helsinki Summer University courses that are taught in English as well as Finnish for Foreigners courses. If you wish to see other courses offered by Helsinki Summer University, please choose the Finnish section of the webpages (upper left corner "Suomeksi").
Registration for the program 2012 courses has begun. For Finnish for Foreigners courses you can already register.
You can register in the Summer University courses until the beginning of each course if there are places left and if there are not any restrictions mentioned in the course descriptions.
Open university studies give everyone, irrespective of their age or educational background, an opportunity to study university level courses and modules. The courses meet the requirements of universities and are equivalent to the courses completed at universities.
Helsinki Summer University cooperates with several universities and in 2012 it arranges open university studies according to the requirements of the University of Helsinki, the Sibelius Academy, the Theatre Academy, the University of Jyväskylä, the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Lapland, the University of Oulu and the University of Vaasa. |
